Challenge Growers to Maximize Yields in 2018

Requirements Checklist

Use the checklist below to ensure your growers have the requirements to participate in the Phosphorus Challenge:

Climate FieldView™ Plus user

Open to using Levesol® family of products, including Levesol®, Levesol® ZN, Levesol® DFC, Redline®, Aventine™ Complete, or Soyshot™

Trial location needs to be grid or zone sampled within the last 3 years and include a control check in the field to validate the results

Soil test data and “As Applied” map will be collected to create the data set performance reports and track their success

In-season in-furrow soil tests will be taken 14-21 days after emergence to compare phosphorus availability test levels in the furrow and between the furrow

By February 28: Agronomist enrolls grower in Phosphorus Challenge and uploads soil test to Climate FieldView™

By April l: Agronomist and grower target fields and the products to be included in the Phosphorus Challenge

Planting: Participants make a Levesol® family application and build an “As Applied” map that is automatically captured in FieldView or uploaded to FieldView

2 Weeks After Emergence: Conduct an in-furrow phosphorus availability test 14-21 days after emergence

By December 1: Automatically capture or upload yield data into FieldView and review the yield analysis with your local representative

Protocols

Join the P Team – In 4 Simple Steps

1. Enroll your growers in the Phosphorus Challenge by February 28, 2018 - Here’s what we need from you.

  • Sign up online to challenge your field to better phosphorus availability
  • Climate FieldView™ Plus user
  • Currently using or open to using Levesol® family of products, including Levesol®, Levesol® ZN, Levesol® DFC, Redline®, Aventine™ Complete, or Soyshot™
  • Trial location needs to be grid or zone soil sampled within the last 3 years and placed in a representative area of the field to provide viable test results

You will receive a welcome kit for registering containing your Limited-Edition Tumbler and other valuable resources.

2. Upload Your Soil Test Data and Share Your Field on Climate FieldView

Climate FieldView soil test data will be collected from verified P Team growers to include in performance reports that ensure and track success. Learn how to upload your soil test data in the link below. (Ability to upload zone sample soil data coming in late winter.)

P Team Growers also need to share just their Phosphorus Challenge field with the Phosphorus Challenge account at pchallenge@climate.com. This way we can better track success, offer recommendations, and compile high level data to share with you throughout the season.

3. Select The Fields, Follow The Protocols & Make Field Application

Agronomists and growers should select the fields and the Levesol family product to be included in trial plots, before making their field applications and “as applied map”.

Product Options

Corn Growers

  • Targeted Treatment Area
    • Minimum of 80 acres of Levesol® family product vs. standard local starter fertilizer
  • Treatment Options
    • Local starter fertilizer (ex. 10-34-0 + Zn) vs. any of the following treatments
      • 3 gal. of Redline®/A (5-7 gal. total volume)
      • 3 gal. Aventine™ Complete/A (5-7 gal. total volume)
      • 3 gal. Aventine™ Complete/A + 2 oz Unlocked/A (5-7 gal. total volume)
      • Local starter fertilizer + Zn + 64 oz. Levesol®/A
      • Local starter fertilizer + 32 oz. Levesol® Zn/A
      • 3qt Levesol® DFC per 1 Ton phosphate starter

Soybean Growers

  • Targeted Treatment Area
    • Minimum of 120 acres of Levesol® family product vs. untreated check
  • Treatment Options
    • Untreated check vs. any of the following treatments
      • 2 gal Soyshot™/A (5-7 gal. total volume)
      • 1.5 gal Redline®/A (5-7 gal. total volume)
      • 1.5 gal Aventine™ Complete/A (5-7 gal. total volume)
      • 64 oz Levesol®
Create & Submit Your “As Applied” Map

Once the protocols are chosen, and product application is complete; participant’s “as applied map” will be available to the retailer and West Central.

4. Complete Your In-Furrow Soil Test to Confirm the Results

In-Season Soil Test

(In addition to complete field soil tests)

Objective

To create a dataset that compares the increased fertility levels in the root zone from the Levesol family application to untreated sample, as well as any standard starter fertilizer (i.e. 10-34-0) application to its untreated sample.
